Effective Date: August 3, 2026
Last Updated: August 3, 2026
Website: Kido & Me — kidoandme.com

  1. Purpose of This Policy

Kido & Me respects intellectual-property rights and expects contributors, commenters, partners, and users of the Website to do the same.

This Policy explains how copyright owners or their authorized representatives may report material that they believe infringes copyright and how a person whose material has been removed may dispute that removal.

Kido & Me may process copyright complaints under:

applicable copyright law of the Republic of Serbia;
the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act, where applicable;
other applicable copyright and notice-and-takedown rules.

Submitting a notice does not automatically establish that copyright infringement has occurred. Each sufficiently detailed request may be reviewed according to the circumstances and applicable law.

  1. Copyright Ownership

Unless otherwise stated, original content created for Kido & Me is owned by or licensed to Kido & Me.

This may include:

articles;
original text;
photographs;
illustrations;
graphics;
logos;
branding;
downloadable materials;
videos;
original page elements;
compilations and other protected creative material.

Third-party trademarks, photographs, quotations, embedded content, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

No ownership of third-party material is claimed merely because it appears on or is referenced by the Website.

  1. Permitted Use of Kido & Me Content

Readers may:

share links to publicly accessible Kido & Me pages;
use Website sharing buttons;
quote a brief and reasonable portion for commentary, reference, or discussion, with clear attribution and a link to the original page;
privately save content for personal, non-commercial use.

Unless permission or an applicable legal exception exists, users may not:

republish complete articles;
reproduce substantial portions of articles;
remove authorship or copyright notices;
sell or license Website content;
copy original graphics or photographs for commercial use;
present Kido & Me content as their own;
systematically scrape or reproduce the Website;
translate and republish complete articles without permission;
use Website content to populate another commercial website, publication, application, or database.

Permission requests may be sent to the contact address listed below.

  1. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that material available on Kido & Me infringes copyright that you own or are authorized to enforce, send a written copyright notice to our Copyright Contact.

To allow us to locate and evaluate the material, your notice should include:

Your full name and contact information.
Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
If multiple works are involved, a representative list of those works.
The exact URL or sufficiently precise location of the material complained of.
An explanation of why you believe the use is unauthorized.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law.
A statement that the information in the notice is accurate.
A statement, under penalty of perjury where required, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Your physical or electronic signature.

These elements follow the notice requirements described by the U.S. Copyright Office for notices submitted under 17 U.S.C. § 512.

  1. Information That Helps Us Review a Notice

Where available, please also provide:

the original publication URL;
the original publication date;
copyright-registration information;
screenshots;
licensing records;
an explanation of which specific portion is allegedly copied;
information about prior communication with the uploader or author;
any other relevant evidence.

A notice should identify the specific allegedly infringing material rather than referring generally to an entire website, category, or account without explanation.

  1. Where to Send a Copyright Notice

Send copyright notices to:

Copyright Contact
Kido & Me
Name or Position: [Copyright Contact or Your Full Legal Name]
Email: [copyright@kidoandme.com or your legal email]
Mailing Address: [mailing address, if used]
Country: Republic of Serbia
Telephone: [telephone number, only if applicable]

Suggested email subject:

Copyright Infringement Notice – [Title or URL of Material]

Do not describe this person as a “Designated DMCA Agent” unless the agent has actually been registered with the U.S. Copyright Office.

  1. Review of Copyright Notices

After receiving a sufficiently detailed notice, Kido & Me may:

acknowledge receipt;
request missing information;
review the identified material;
examine available licenses, permissions, or source information;
contact the author, contributor, or user responsible for the material;
temporarily restrict access while reviewing the complaint;
remove or disable access to the material;
reject a notice that is incomplete, unsupported, abusive, or clearly inapplicable;
seek legal advice where appropriate.

We aim to respond appropriately and without unnecessary delay, but we do not guarantee a specific response time for every complaint.

Removal or restriction of material does not necessarily constitute an admission that infringement occurred.

  1. Notice to the Affected User or Contributor

Where appropriate and legally permitted, we may provide the person who submitted or published the disputed material with:

a copy or summary of the complaint;
the complaining party’s contact information;
an explanation of the removal or restriction;
information about submitting a counter-notification.

Copyright notices and counter-notifications should therefore not contain information that is unnecessary for processing the request.

  1. Counter-Notification

If material you submitted was removed or disabled because of a copyright complaint and you believe the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification.

A counter-notification should include:

Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the material that was removed or disabled.
The location or URL where the material appeared before removal.
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
Where U.S. DMCA procedure applies, a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States federal district court.
Where you are outside the United States, the jurisdictional statement required under the applicable DMCA procedure.
A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person’s agent.

Official U.S. Copyright Office guidance lists these core elements for a DMCA counter-notification.

Send the counter-notification to the Copyright Contact listed above with the subject:

Copyright Counter-Notification – [Title or URL of Material]

  1. Restoration Following a Counter-Notification

Where the U.S. DMCA process applies, we may forward a valid counter-notification to the person who submitted the original copyright notice.

The disputed material may be restored no earlier than 10 and no later than 14 business days after receipt of a valid counter-notification, unless the original complaining party informs us that it has filed an appropriate court action seeking to prevent restoration.

This procedure may differ where another country’s law applies.

  1. Repeat Infringers

Where the Website allows user-submitted material, Kido & Me may restrict or terminate access for users who repeatedly submit infringing content.

In determining an appropriate response, we may consider:

the number and reliability of complaints;
whether the user received prior warnings;
whether the notices involved separate works;
whether a counter-notification was submitted;
whether the complaint was withdrawn or rejected;
the seriousness and circumstances of the conduct.

We may also remove content or restrict participation where infringement is apparent, even if the formal repeat-infringer threshold has not been reached.

  1. Misrepresentations and Abusive Notices

Copyright notices and counter-notifications are serious legal communications.

A person who knowingly makes a material false statement about:

ownership;
authorization;
infringement;
removal by mistake;
identity;
authority to act;

may face legal consequences under applicable law.

Do not submit a copyright notice merely because:

you dislike an article;
an article criticizes a product or opinion;
your name or brand is mentioned lawfully;
a short quotation is used for commentary;
you disagree with the author;
you want legitimate criticism removed.

We may decline to process notices used for harassment, censorship, fraud, impersonation, or other abusive purposes.

  1. Fair Use, Quotation, and Other Legal Exceptions

Not every unauthorized use of copyrighted material constitutes infringement.

Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, a use may be permitted for purposes such as:

criticism;
commentary;
reporting;
teaching;
research;
quotation;
parody;
another statutory exception or limitation.

Kido & Me does not make binding judicial determinations about copyright ownership, fair use, or other exceptions.

Where the parties genuinely dispute those matters, they may need to obtain independent legal advice or seek a decision from a competent authority.

  1. Trademark and Other Intellectual-Property Complaints

This Policy primarily concerns copyright.

For complaints involving:

trademarks;
passing off;
impersonation;
misuse of branding;
rights of publicity;
confidential information;
privacy;
another intellectual-property right;

contact us with a detailed explanation and supporting information.

We may request additional documentation before taking action.

  1. International Copyright Complaints

Kido & Me operates from the Republic of Serbia and serves an international audience.

Copyright owners outside the United States may submit complaints using the same contact information.

Where the U.S. DMCA does not apply, we may evaluate a complaint under:

Serbian copyright law;
the law applicable to the disputed material;
relevant hosting-provider rules;
other applicable notice-and-takedown procedures.

Use of the term “DMCA” in this Policy does not mean that U.S. law governs every copyright dispute involving the Website.

  1. Third-Party and Embedded Content

Some Website pages may contain embedded or linked material hosted by third parties.

Kido & Me may not have the technical ability to remove content hosted on another website. We may, where appropriate:

remove the embed;
remove or alter the link;
contact the relevant provider;
direct the complaining party to the third-party host.

Complaints relating to material physically hosted by another service may also need to be submitted directly to that service.

  1. Protection of Kido & Me Content

If Kido & Me content is copied or republished without authorization, we may:

contact the website owner;
request attribution, correction, or removal;
contact the hosting provider;
submit a copyright takedown notice;
report misuse to a platform or search service;
pursue other remedies available under applicable law.

Nothing in this Policy waives Kido & Me’s copyright or other intellectual-property rights.

  1. Privacy and Retention of Notices

We may retain copyright notices, counter-notifications, related correspondence, and supporting documentation for purposes including:

reviewing and resolving complaints;
maintaining legal and security records;
identifying repeat infringement;
defending legal claims;
complying with legal obligations.

Information may be disclosed to:

the affected contributor or user;
hosting providers;
platforms or technical providers;
professional advisers;
courts or competent authorities;
other parties where legally required.

For additional information, review our Privacy Policy.

  1. No Legal Advice

This Policy describes the procedure used by Kido & Me.

It does not provide legal advice and does not determine whether a particular use is lawful.

Copyright owners and affected users should obtain independent legal advice when necessary.

  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy when:

Website features change;
user-submitted content options change;
our hosting arrangements change;
applicable law changes;
our copyright procedures change.

The latest revision date will appear at the top of the page.
